The Band enjoyed another successful year, with the climax being a Parade in Henley upon Thames, Where we had the great honour of leading the Olympic Gold medallists, through a packed town of supporters.  This lead to the band appearing on National News programmes, the Local news and the internet.  All members attended and performed excellently.  They all sounded terrific and looked impeccable.  We received some fantastic feedback from many of the people there. 

The year also saw us purchase a Brand New Marimba.  Thanks to a very kind and much appreciated donation from The Chipping Norton Branch of the R.B.L. The Marimba offers the band a lovely softer sound, which works very well with the other Glocks.

 The band also purchased a further new uniform for our long serving Di Jones (a well earned and long awaited uniform!). This all adds to the overall look and improvement of the band.

 A new committee was formed at our AGM in November.  Here we saw the stepping down of our secretary Mrs. Juliet Jones to be succeeded by Miss. Claire Myles. Mr. Pete Lockwood-Goose (due to relocation) left the band and so gave up his position as Vice Chairman, to be succeeded by Mr. Andy Walker.  Ben Foster took up the role of junior rep.  We thank those who stepped down and welcome our new committee members 

 Our New Website has proved to be a great success and a very positive addition to our band.  Or thanks go out to the Webmaster and assistant, Rodney and Grace Olds for all their hard work.
